My pavilion is for use of the public. It would be open all hours, with benches to sit on, and a spiralling ramp. I did not choose stairs because a ramp would be more suitable for disabled people. I would personally go up at night to see the brilliant lights of the city. The main body of the pavilion has natural lighting, but also shaded areas. The main structure was influenced by the work of Olafur Eliasson. I thought that if it is a cone, it would feel more spacious, and the ramp would fit more easily around the cone. I made the model out of a paper plate, card and acetate with a pipe cleaner sculpture on top. For the actual building, I would want to use the stretchy fabric that Zaha Hadid used for the Sackler Gallery and Lilas, white fibre glass for the ramp and glass for the windows.
